Home businesses get unexpected boost as Government strives to create more entrepreneurs

A recent study conducted by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has found that there are 2.9 million home-based enterprises in the UK, which contribute £300bn to the UK economy every year. The Government is trying to encourage more kitchen table start-ups by exempting them from business rates, making it no longer a requirement to file for planning permission to run home based businesses and making it easier to run companies from rented accommodation.

Mr. Hancock says “There has never been a better time to start a business and even more people are choosing to start up from home”.
